It is the policy of Trinity Ministries that employees and volunteers of Trinity Church and Trinity Christian School may not disclose, divulge, or make accessible confidential information belonging to, or obtained through their affiliation with the organization to any person, including relatives, friends, and business associates. Every employee and volunteer must respect and abide by this principle, concerning any and all business of the church, whether that business relates to personal matters or not. Employees and volunteers shall use confidential information solely for the purpose of performing their duties/tasks. Mailing lists, family records, family files, phone lists and other such information are confidential and may be used only in accordance with procedures established by the Senior Pastor and the administration. This policy is not intended to prevent disclosure where disclosure is required by law.
Matters concerning individuals of the church, or their families, and related correspondence, counseling, conversations, or negotiations will remain confidential. Employees, volunteers and contractors must exercise good judgment and care at all times to avoid unauthorized or improper disclosures of confidential information such as, but not limited to, conversations in public places, leaving information in plain sight, and use of speaker phones when discussing sensitive information. Any information about the church's internal activities, business activities, accounting procedures, policies, or records also should be treated with strict confidentiality. Although many of the activities are not confidential, others are, and should not be made public except when the Senior Pastor officially decides to release such information.
Upon the termination of relationship with Trinity Church and Trinity Christian School as an employee or volunteer, he or she shall return all documents, papers, and other materials, which may contain confidential information in his or her possession.
